Now you're done. ZipDeploy (upload fast) will continue by itself by performing the following tasks:

  • Prepare (quasi-instantaneous)
  • Upload (will take some time, especially if your Zip is some Mbytes big)
  • Deploy (from 10 to 100 seconds maximum)

The Upload will take some time depending on your connection and Zip filesize. However, ususally 2 to 10 times less than a regular FTP transfer! A progressbar will show you the status of this process.

Deployment will follow, (the respective bulbs will blink during operation) and when ready, you will be informed about the process activity. 

When ready, ZipDeploy (upload fast) will generate a detailed report on site, in a file called zdreport.txt . The URL to this file will show up, so youc an consult this file in your favourite browser (if curious).

The lack of a cPanel at GoDaddy makes remote unzipping almost impossible. I've tried some PHP scripts but they seem to stop from a browser buffer limit or something.
I just fired this puppy up and it did a Joomla upgrade in less than three minutes. A manual copy could have taken all night with the risk of some file corruption.
