All fields in bold are compulsory (Server,User,Password,Filename).  Fill all these fields with  corresponding data, then press Next> . ZipDeploy will verify if the file you're submitting exists at this stage.

In this screen, you are asked about conenction parameters; also other information is shown as follows:

The Top Bar ZipDeploy will do the job in 6 steps: Init & Setup , Set target , Prepare, Upload & Deploy. You are now at the screen corresponding to the  Init & Setup stage.
 FTP site or IP:

enter the address (or IP) of your website. If you have already performed a successfull deploy, you may access the history from the combo to quick load the connection information.

NOTE: our advice is to enter the address (and not the IP) , ususally in the form of:

ftp.mysite.com

so you can take full advantage of the built-in ZipDeploy automation.
NOTE 2: If you mistyped the server name or you have no internet connectivity, the following error message will show up when you press Next> :

server not found

Save in history:

ZipDeploy can store your connection info (in case of a successfull FTP connection) for later use.

NOTE: The connection info, comprising ftp host, username and opionally password is stored in a subdirectory called sites, in files with extension ".ci". You may delete some or all of these files if you don't use that host anymore.
 FTP user:

Enter your FTP user, as given by your hosting provider

NOTE: sometimes the FTP user name is in the form This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it depending on your hosting provider.
NOTE2: if your user / password combination is incorrect, you will receive a "FTP 530" error message in the next screen. Yo will have to close ZipDeploy. The error message comes from the FTP server and may not be always very explicit...

FTP 530 example error message

FTP password: Enter your FTP password. This is a "password edit", your password will not be displayed on the screen.
 Save (plain):

As for the server name and user name, your password may be saved for later used along with server information.

NOTE: password is saved unencrypted, plain. Don't save it if other users have access to your hard drive, especially to the ZipDeploy directory.
Zip package to upload: type in the (full) path of your Zip package. You may click on the [...] button to open a file-browsing dialog.
The big white area:
