Outstanding upload speed (2 to 10 times faster than regular FTP transfers) PDF Print E-mail http://ftp-unzip.com/ZipDeploy/about-zipdeploy/features/outstanding-upload-speed-(2-to-10-times-faster-than-regular-ftp-transfers)

What's your "favourite" scenario for a -say- osCommerce install?

  1. Download the latest package (2 minutes)
  2. Unpack it to your hard drive (30 seconds)
  3. Start uploading using FTP
  4. Take a coffee...take a break
  5. Check if your upload is finished... Frown Well, it isn't!
  6. Wait some more time...wait
  7. Read the newspapers (online)...read the newspapers
  8. Check if your upload is finished... You were disconnected!do not destroy the computer!
  9. Breathe deeply until you get yourself together.
  10. Reconnect to your website, try to figure out which files were uploaded and which not... and you cannot... should you restart the transfer? CryCryCryCry

If this story seems familiar, you're at the right place.

ZipDeploy (upload fast) is

100% to 1000% faster than

regular FTP transfers

... so it doesn't have time to get disconnected! Watch the VIDEOCool!

How so?
  • ZipDeploy (upload fast) doesn't upload 1000 files. It uploads just one. Your Zip package.
  • ZipDeploy (upload fast) uploads less kilobytes. Just compare the size of your Zip package with the total size of the unzipped directory. There's a big difference, isn't it?
  • ZipDeploy (upload fast) uncompresses (unzips) on the remote host, or the remote server, where your website is located.
Want to try it yourself? Download and run ZipDeploy (upload fast) right now!

Quote of the day
The lack of a cPanel at GoDaddy makes remote unzipping almost impossible. I've tried some PHP scripts but they seem to stop from a browser buffer limit or something.
I just fired this puppy up and it did a Joomla upgrade in less than three minutes. A manual copy could have taken all night with the risk of some file corruption.
Thanks!
